Revolution Conference (day 3)

On the last day of the conference, we started with time of praise and worship led by the ACTStream worship band. Then, we had the P.O.P Academy which Pastor Alex Tan shared on passion, obedience and pattern.
(i) Psalm 50—everything belongs to God.
(ii)Learn to release
(iii)Building a vision within another vision-submit your dream, don’t just attach it.
(iv)Exodus 32:1-4—Impatience and disobedience. God is preparing the way for us, we just have to wait.
--Before you bring anything to men, bring everything to God.
--Submit everything to God.
(v)Accept changes. Without changes, we can’t move forward.
(vi)Step out and see the big picture.—accountability comes in.

Later we had a tea break and Pastor Sandra Chin continued Revo Academy 4.She said we need to submit to God because God wants to be our father and have relationship with us.[1 Corinthians 4:21]
(i) trust is not earned but built.
(ii) To honour includes turn up on time and giving praise.
(iii) Stop being sensitive
(iv) Submit with surrender
(v) Great attitude with great spirit
(vi) Uphold unity
(vii) Serve with joy
(viii) Do things together
(ix) Die to self

After lunch,we had the second breakout and Pastor Andy led us again in the breakout.
We had a experiment trying 2 cups of coffee.5 chosen people had to try the coffee and guess which was Tesco coffee and which was Starbucks Columbia. He asked Philip that worked at Starbucks for 3 months before to try and he chose a cup and said that he was sure that’s Starbucks based on his experience.

All the other 4 people decided according to Philip and only 1 girl chose the other cup.Actually both cups were Tesco coffee. What he’s trying to prove was influence is something very powerful especially among teens.Later,he taught us how to bring more people to a Home or Cell.

Later after a tea break,we dismissed and I followed Chan Tong,Amanda,Avryl,Arthur,Brenda(my new friends) and Cherrie for bowling. Too bad I was wearing slippers so I didn’t join them for the fun.

Amanda preparing herself to play.

Bowling results.

At night, the party was spiced up again by special performances by UNDER HEADLIGHTS and the Lightbulb.

Pastor Andy singing in costume.

Then we had time of praise and worship again led by the ACTStream worship band.

Half way of worshipping,Pastor Kenneth Chin went up the stage and preached.

He preached about obedience to God.Good examples by Abraham and Moses. Then he led us into a time of prayer and confessing. Some people got saved but since we weren’t allowed to look around,I’m not sure how many people got saved. How great is our God.

ReVo ConFeRenCe (day 2)

Here I am back from Revolution Conference.I gained lots of knowledge from it and very happy that I joined it.For the second day (22nd August ’08),Elder Kien Yiak shared about his experiences in God’s ministry during the Revo Academy. From a successful banker to dealing a Christians bookstore to handling a café.Everything wasn’t easy but with God’s strength,he managed it well. These were the few points I jotted down:
(i) Honour your leaders to proper your ministry.
(ii) You’ll reap what you sow.
(iii) Serve other’s vision and God will give you your own.
(iv) Serve to be accountable.

After awesome morning tea break,Pastor Andy Yeoh continued the second part of the academy. He shared on the title “Working Together In A Team”.T.E.A.M. don’t just stands for Together Everyone Achieves More.He elaborated more using the word TEAM.
(i)T- trust each other.
-trust is not earned, trust is given

(ii) E-enuchs (Matthew 19:12) [submission]
-to serve in the full ministry,we need to give up our plans, hopes, dreams and visions.
-to be a good leader,we must be a good follower

(iii) A-accountability is important
-learn from mistakes but some mistakes don’t have to be done to learn from it.
Example: Killing yourself and learning that you can’t live again.

(iv) Many members one body (1 Corinthians 12)

After lunch,we had breakout to different age groups. We were divided into 3 age groups:Teens,Campus ministry and Young Working Adults.
Teens were led by Ps.Andy and Young Working Adults by Ps.Alex.

Pastor Andy told us about starting a prayer group in school. There are schools with CF but we need to start another prayer group.Prayer is very important. We can pray for different items or people.Besides,he gave us some ideas on starting a prayer group.

Dave and Joel were the emcees at Revo PARTY at night. Before Paster Sam Serendran from EPCC Penang started his word, there were special performances by Four Letter Story and Lightbulb. Then Paster Sam shared his word and testimonies but ended it with gross story.
He talked about the toilet and what he was trying to say was God saves us from the mess we’re in and we just have to accept His help.It ended with altar call.

What a blast!I was super tired but filled with knowledge and wisdom.

Parents still proud despite poor display

The expectations of the whole nation to bring back Malaysia's first-ever Olympic gold medal proved to be too heavy a burden for Lee Chong Wei.
He failed to bring out his best and blew the chance to win the RM1mil reward for gold – suffering a 12-21, 8-21 thrashing by top seed Lin Dan of China in the men's singles final at the Beijing University of Technology Gymnasium last night.
Chong Wei was erratic on court. He made half-court returns and the strong net-play performance he showed in earlier rounds was missing from his game.

Malaysian shuttler Lee Chong Wei striking a pensive mood with the silver medal around his neck after the men's single badminton final against Lin Dan of China.

Lin Dan pulled away from 8-3 to 16-8 and wrapped up the first game in 20 minutes. The two-time world champion's confidence grew as he took control in the second game and was already up 8-0 before Chong Wei picked up his first point.
The slouched shoulders and grim look were telling as Chong Wei eventually conceded defeat in 19 minutes.
Despite the tame loss, Chong Wei will receive RM300,000 from the government for securing the silver medal. He will also enjoy a reward of RM3,000 monthly under the Olympic incentive scheme and it will take effect from next month.
The Olympic silver medal from Chong Wei is still the first for Malaysia in 12 years.
The pressure was on Lin Dan to ensure China match their three-gold haul from the 2004 Athens Games.
And he let out a giant scream of delight after securing the winning point while Chong Wei was left pondering on what might have been.

“I tried to follow his speed at the start but he was in total control. My heart wanted to take him on but I just could not bring it out,” said the second seeded Malaysian.
On what coach Misbun Sidek told him before the start of the second game, Chong Wei said: “He told me to play a faster game but I could not follow. But there's no excuse for losing. This is my worst defeat by him.”
On whether he would still aim to play in the 2012 London Olympics, Chong Wei said: “I will have to wait and see first after the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou.”
Lin Dan, who became the first men's singles player to win the Olympic title as the top seed, said he had sleepless nights thinking about delivering the gold for China.
“I concentrated hard on trying to play a stable game each time. I am glad I was able to do it here,” he said.
Although Chong Wei lost, Badminton Association of Malaysia president Datuk Mohd Nadzmi Salleh hoped that his success to make the final would inspire younger players.
“Although he did not win, I am happy that Chong Wei has made it to such a level. We will try again in London Olympics in four years' time but the important thing is we have to start planning now. We have to bring in our juniors into the national set-up,” he said.

Malaysia Lost...

Lee Chong Wei won the silver medal in the badminton men's singles after losing in the final to China’s Lin Dan 12-21, 8-21.
The world No 2 lost in two straight sets, faltering to Lin Dan, who remains the top men’s singles shuttler in the world.
In previous clashes between the two, Lin Dan had won nine times while Chong Wei had won five times.
The last time a Malaysian shuttler won a medal at the Olympics was in Atlanta in 1996 when Rashid Sidek took the bronze in the men’s singles and Cheah Soon Kit-Yap Kim Hock won the silver for the men’s doubles. Rashid’s brothers Razif and Jailani won Malaysia’s first Olympic medal in Barcelona, Spain, in 1992 when they won a bronze in the men’s doubles.
Chong Wei got to the final by beating South Korean Lee Hyun-il, 21-18, 13-21, 21-13, while Lin Dan defeated fellow countryman Chen Jin in the semi-final, 21-12 , 21-18.
Despite failing to get the gold medal, Chong Wei is set to obtain RM300,000 from the Government for winning the silver medal. The Government had promised RM1mil as an incentive to any athlete who returns with an Olympic gold medal; RM300,000 for silver and RM100,000 for bronze.

Why Why Why?

Here…my blog. Will be 1-year-old on the 3oth of August 2008.Hope I can reach 50 posts by that time.Today I heard complaints from my friend. She hates someone in our school.Well I understand that because I dislike her too.
Why are there such people on earth?looks nice on the outside but as evil as a witch on the inside.Try to be good but doesn’t realize that she’s doing real bad.The person craps in her own blog.I wonder what’s her reason having a blog.Make everyone admire her or just expressing her own feeling.Which is what I’m doing now.
If criticizing is not wrong/not a sin, surely I had already talk to her face-to-face.I don’t want to be rude.So what I can do is stay away from her.
I really really REALLY don’t understand why is she like that. She looks so nice on the outside. But she’s so proud.I know her results are good, she’s hardworking, she’s well…kind of pretty but she can’t think that she’s the first in the whole wide world and treat everyone else as her slave. She’s not right anytime and she hates it so much when other people correct her. It’s something that shouldn’t be in a Christian.
Well too bad I can’t help to talk to her.I’ll just pray for her and ask God to change her…

AnoTher MeMoRaBle Day...T.T

I lost my phone last Sunday.May be I should say my phone was stolen.I was at Jom Heboh that afternoon and someone just took it from my bag without me knowing. It’s just too many people around me so I didn’t actually feel anything.

Suddenly, instinct told me to check my bag.The first thing I saw was my bag was unzipped.Open and see,my phone wasn’t there.Without further hesitation,I told my mum someone stole my phone. My sister said I was calm that time and if she was me,she wouldn’t be this calm.
My sister tried to call my number and found it off.Means? It’s stolen not that I dropped it somewhere as a promoter said.No mood to walk around already.Went off crying.Three of us (my sisters and I) had the same experience, losing a phone.I mean phone got stolen.

There goes the story…I lost my phone. What I’m worried now is all my pictures in my phone. My friend said the thief may upload it in the internet.I’m dying if that is what really going to happen. No more contacts,no more sms-ing,no more calling.

For all my friends, what I want to say is:
Be aware of your bag/handphone.
Try to avoid being in crowded places.
Sorry if you can’t contact me.
Do sms me so that I can have your number back.
Pray for me if you’re willing to.

A lot of things happened this two months.First,I lost RM70.Second,my sister wants the car and my dad spent RM300++ to repair the car.Thirdly,my phone is stolen. Now,my refrigerator at home is spoiled. My mum needs to buy a new one at anytime.May be God is testing us and let Satan to do anything like what happened to Jacob in the Bible.I hope we can overcome this as soon as possible.

KL trip?

I went to KL last Friday as mentioned in the previous post.Everything went well except tolerating with two dogs at Enwei’s aunty’s house where I stayed for the past two nights. Urgh…They were barking at me everytime they see me. May be they just want me to play with them.Yada yada…I bought a cute smiley necklace and a not-so-cute handphone strap at Padini Concept Store. And of course a Chinese love novel title Princess’ Romantic Castle from MPH bookstore at 1U.Well I was kinda disappointed because I didn’t found what I was looking for =( It’s okay, just it’s not a suitable time to bring back what I want.
Then we went for lunch at Sushi Zanmai. The food there were awesome.I wasn’t satisfied with what I ate but I was too full to have anymore.I ate a prawn sushi, squid with something which I don’t know what was that and Niku Udon with sliced beef. That pleased me.I ate only these and few cups of Ryokucha means Green Tea.
Overall it’s very nice.Of course it is since I didn’t go with my family.Haha!
(Tried very hard to post the pictures but I can't!Sorry guys...)
